About St. Stephen's
Admissions and Tuition
St. Stephens School offers a high quality bicultural Armenian-American education experience, and strives to accommodate all candidates seeking admissions. Admissions are regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation, and are subject to State regulations. Admissions are also subject to availability of space, and the candidate's commitment to comply with the School's rules and regulations as specified in the School Handbook, and the parents' commitment ot meet the financial obligations as specified in the school Tuition and Financial Aid Policy. Admissions are honored on a first come first serve basis, except when a candidate has siblings already admitted into the School.
Enrollment Procedure
- All prospective families schedule an appointment for an Orientation Meeting with the Principal.
- The Principal discusses the School's Programs, its Faculty and Facilities, along with a guided tour of the appropriate school.
- The Rules and Regulations are presented to prospective families at the initial Orientation Meeting. All families must take home and thoroughly read through and sign off that they have understood and will abide by the Rules and Regulations stipulated in the School Handbook prior to admissions.
- The Tuition and payment Policy are presented, as prospective families are explained the financial commitment expected of every family.
- In conclusion, the Admission Packet is presented, as all necessary forms must be completed and returned before admission to the school.
St. Stephen's accepts most of its applicants. In special instances when a child may need special services, which we do not provide, we refer the family to their local school department.
St. Stephen's has no screening process. In cases where a student is applying to grade K- 5, coming from another institution or country, the Grade Level teacher administers a test to finalize his/her placement.
The St. Stephen's Mission promotes a program of Armenian Studies as part of the school's goal and requires that all those who apply understand that Armenian course- work is mandatory. St. Stephen's welcomes all candidates who adhere to this policy.
We invite you to schedule a visit, which will include a tour of the school facilities and opportunity to speak with the Principal about the program. The Principal makes admission and placement decisions after all necessary application forms have been completed.
