4. Retell stories read aloud.
5. Express ideas through illustrations.
6. Read with fluency, expression and understanding.
7. Express ideas in complete sentences.
8. Use age appropriate grammar and vocabulary.
9. Use correct spelling
10. Write legibly.
11. Write numbers 1-50
12. Count numbers 1-100
13. Compare and contrast

Introduce students with age appropriate manner to the following:

• St. Mesrob, creator of the Armenian Alphabet
• Vartanantz

Religion

• Der Hayr (priest,)
• Religious symbols; cross
• Religions chants (sharagan)
• Bible
• Prayer
• 10 commandments
• Saints
• Feast days
