Letter From the CO-Chairs

Dear Fellow Parents,

On behalf of the St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) we would like to welcome you to the 2007/2008 academic year. With your help last year we were able to raise over $60,000. This success was made possible thanks to the continuous parent involvement and dedication in support of our events. In appreciation, the PTO will be hosting a reception at all three School Open Houses which will be held at 7 PM on the following dates: Sept. 18 (K-2), Sept. 20 (Gr. 3-5), and Sept. 25 (Preschool).

All parents/guardians are encouraged to become active participants in the PTO to complete the mandatory volunteer hours they are expected to contribute as part of the registration requirement. Last year, over 80 percent of our parent population participated in some capacity to make each event a success. We thank them for their time and effort and encourage you to continue supporting the PTO throughout the year.

We have many exciting enrichment and fundraising activities in the making. We will keep you informed of PTO updates on a monthly basis through our emails and newsletters.

Our PTO meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month. The first meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 10, at 8 PM at the ACEC. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Ultimately, the PTO is instrumental in the success of the school by promoting it in our community and financially helping toward its future.

We value your new ideas and suggestions. Please feel free to contact a PTO executive member with any questions and/or comments. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming Open Houses.
